Who we are
Solim Med is an international clinic operating in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Solim Med is a joint effort of Tajik and international physicians working with the goal to provide compassionate, quality and affordable health care for our community.
Our History
Solim Med was opened in 2011 as a cooperation of Tajik and American doctors, initially only offering ophthalmology services. In 2014, Solim Med expanded to provide pediatric care, and has now further grown into areas of adult medicine and infectious disease. Solim Med is a referral center and leader in various areas of eye care in Dushanbe. Since its inception, we have supported the training and professional development of approximately 50 local health care providers.

Dr. Daler Sharifov (photo)
Dr. Daler Sharifov has been the Director of Solim Med Clinic since 2014. Dr. Daler graduated from the Tajik State Medical University Abuali Ibni Sino in 2006. In 2007, he completed sub-residency in Pediatrics and 2008-2011 completed training at the Medical Health Center. He has received training in Family Medicine.
Dr. Daler Sharifov has been the Director of Solim Med Clinic since 2014. Dr. Daler graduated from the Tajik State Medical University Abuali Ibni Sino in 2006. In 2007, he completed sub-residency in Pediatrics and 2008-2011 completed training at the Medical Health Center. He has received training in Family Medicine.
Founding Doctor
Dr. Brian Zerbe, M.D. is an Ophthalmologist at Solim Med and has been working at Solim Med Eye Clinic since it began in 2011. Dr. Brian Zerbe graduated from Houghton College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1996. He graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2000. He then completed ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany New York. Dr. Brian is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology in good standing and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
